Jagatsevak is a Jyotiṣi, Pujari, and Veda Mantra Chanting Teacher in the legacy of the Mysore Kṛṣṇa Yajurveda lineage from South India. With a deep reverence for this sacred tradition, he has authored over 30 guidebooks on Vedic Astrology and recorded hundreds of Sanskrit mantras, making this profound knowledge accessible to seekers worldwide.

After taking this course, you will be prepared for more advanced classes, including Foundations of Vedic Astrology Part Two, where we dive into Nakṣatras, Transits, Divisional Charts (Vargas), and The Art of Giving a Reading.
Keep in mind that a solid grasp of the foundations of Vedic Astrology is essential prior to moving onto more advanced principles and techniques.

Jagatsevakji guides you through a carefully structured syllabus designed to build your core Jyotiṣa knowledge and skills, step by step. The scaffolding framework ensures each lesson builds on the previous one, creating a solid foundation. Emphasis is on practical application, using your own birth chart as a learning tool.
Chart Play – Every week, Jagatsevak brings the teachings to life by analysing real-life, real-person charts (i.e., not of ‘famous’ people). This dynamic, hands-on approach makes the lessons engaging, relatable, and exciting. You’ll actively follow along, absorbing insights and techniques naturally, as if learning through osmosis! We begin with the purpose, commitments, and foundational principles, including cosmic time, karma, branches of Jyotiṣa, and the basics of chart reading.
Explore the zodiac systems, celestial movements, and learn to draw and interpret a basic birth chart.
Discover the meaning of the 12 houses, their roles in life, and relationships between them.
Dive into the characteristics of zodiac signs, their connections to houses, and how they shape personalities. Starting with Aries through Virgo (Meśa to Kanyā).
We continue with our exploration of the foundational concepts and chart application of the zodiac signs Libra through Pisces (Tulā through Mīna).
